Handei Tose Group needed £1023.26 for their business.
Laina Phiri is a member of the Handei Tose Group. She is 44 year old woman who stays at a farm in Banket in Zvimba. She operates a grocery stall at the farm compound. She has been doing this business for more than 10 years now. She purchases stock from Chinhoyi town or Harare usually once or twice a week depending on the level of business that time. She is the sole supplier of grocery items; some neighbours have tried to compete with her but ended closing their shop. Her welcoming smile convince you to buy items you never planned to buy. Laina has 5 children. Her husband is a farmer who specialises in growing maize and beans. Laina will use her share of $250 to purchase groceries in bulk from Harare for resale since Harare offers better prices which she hopes will translate in an improved profit level for her business.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
