Shupi Damasi is a 46 year old she is a member of the Mutsambvi Grouop. She is from Banket in Zvimba. She is involved in the business of raising and selling broiler chickens. She has been in this business for the past 5 years. She purchases day old chicks from Chinhoyi. She keeps good care of these chickens for a 7 week period until they are ready for sale. After which she sells them to butcheries and individuals nearby. Shupi is a mother of 3 children, 2 of them are attending local schools in Banket. Her husband works at Banket hospital as an Ambulance driver. Through the income from her business and income from her husband’s employment the couple affords their children a decent life style, Shupi works extra hard so that she is able to provide for an even better life for her children. Shupi will use her share of the loan $300 to buy a batch of day old chicks and feeds needed for them to grow.
