The Better Tomorrow group is made up of 13 women who have a variety of different types of business, such as market and grocery stalls. The women are aged between 28 and 52 and have children who attend school. The group is seeking their first loan after having successfully being trained in business management skills by MicroLoan Foundation, Lendwithcare’s local partner.

Salaula (second hand clothes) is a popular business in Choma where the group is based, and so Idah Tembo, one of the members of the group, decided to venture into this business so that she’s able to support her family financially. She is married and has four children who are in school and will use her share of the group loan to order more bales of salaula for her stall. She will use her business profits to buy food for her family and pay for house rent. She has hopes of looking for a plot where she will build a family house of her own in the future.
