Jose Rey Buenavista is a 31 year old, he works from home as a bookkeeper for eight years now. He is married and have two children age 4 and 7 years old. His wife Odeza is 31 years old and also working from home for over a year. They all live in the village of Dumlog which is in Talisay city in Cebu province.
To earn more income Jose Rey joined and became a Grab car operator which he started last December 2016. Grab car is popular nowadays among commuters for it is convenient and safe. Jose Rey purchased his first car which is a Toyota Vios and now he is earning about $528.30 a month. He is going to pay the car on a monthly installment of $340 payable for 5 years. His driver can earn extra 4,500 pesos a week if he can make 100 trips, this is a bonus pay given by Grab company. Last year, Jose Rey acquired three more units of Toyota Vios and one Nissan Almera for he finds it a good source of income. He now employ a total of five drivers.
Jose Rey applied for his third loan to the MFI named Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative in order to have the funds to purchase insurances for his five cars. Each car insurance cost about 16,000 pesos. He showed pictures of his cars as they were busy on duty around the area.
Jose Rey hopes his business will continue to grow and sustain what he is earning
so he can repay his loan and pay his monthly installments. He promises to repay the loan over 18 months.
