Masamba Group needed £1637.50 for their business.
The Masamba Group is a group of 23 women and based in the Masamba village in the Chikwawa district of Malawi. These women run small businesses like selling fish, snacks, vegetables and maize to earn a living. They are all married with their own children and also cares for orphans. They started the businesses to create self employment and support their families.
One member of the group is Enifa. She is 39 years old, married and has 4 children. She runs a grocery shop to earn a living. She is requesting her share of this loan to purchase more groceries and pay for transportation. She will use the profits she makes to buy food and other household necessities. She started the business with the aim of supporting her family financially. She has been running the business for 8 years. She plans to purchase livestock, improve the appearance of her grocery shop and to build a good house in the future.
