Care group Abahuzamugambi Mututu which can translate “Those who have one objective”, the group is made from 30 members. They have been working for over 7 years with income generating activities to lift their family out of poverty. Eric Ineza is one of the group member, he explains that they came together and with the support of CARE they formed a group to develop themselves specially to promote and develop rural men and women by learning income generating activities. The group is applying for a loan to re-lend among themselves and the members will get an opportunity to expand their activities, the group members have different activities – such as farmers, live stocking, grocery traders and other are sole traders. They will repay the loan within 8 months and every member must repay the principal plus interest to the group.

The group members have 4 children on average and there are youths that aren’t married yet. In the next 8 years they hope that they will reach their targeted goals of promoting rural women development and they are expecting to generate more income from their activities to be able to pay medical insurance for their family members and school fees for their children.
