The hunger and thirst for business expansion drove Patricia Chikasha to apply for a group loan together with her 2 friends. Their group is named Kelly and based in Zengeza 5 Chitungwiza. Patricia will use her share of the loan to restock more clothes and shoes for her flea-market. Patricia is 36 years old and she has been in the buying and selling business for years. She resides in Houghton Park in Harare. She runs a good business selling clothing and blankets which she restocks monthly from South Africa.
Patricia works hard all day to provide the needs of her only child who stays with her. She is a dedicated, hardworking. Her flea market is located at the heart of Harare’s central business district and it is open 6 days a week. She performs a variety of roles that enables the movement of her business. She is responsible for the daily selling and has managed to win the hearts of many customers because of her good customer relations. She is also responsible for restocking clothing and other orders from South Africa and usually does this once a month enduring the long bus journeys. Patricia is working towards opening a clothing shop and believes that one day through her continuous hard work and sheer determination she will be able to accomplish her dream.
