Tom Nob Chrey Village, Tek Thla Commune, Cambodia
Sarat needed £3393.33 for her business.
Mrs. Sarat is 58 years old and she has three children, aged between 19 and 25 years old. Her youngest is at school. She has been a farmer for over 20 years and grows wet season rice on one hectare of land. She gets a yield of around 2 tons to sell. After her rice crops have been harvested she sells them directly to her local middleman, who buys from her home. To make sure she can get more rice crops to sell on the market, she requested this 36 month loan in order to purchase another hectare of farm land to grow more wet season rice. This land will cost around $4,000 and she expects to get around two more tons of crops to sell from this new land.
