Rufaro Group needed £779.85 for their business.
Rutendo Manyumwa is a 26 year old and a mother of two. In order to provide for her family, she works hard to try and make ends meet. But the profit her business makes does not go far. Rutendo would like to use her $200 loan to grow her chicken broilers business. With the loan she will buy bi-weekly batches of chickens so that she can have a consistent stock and thereby allow her to have a consistent source of income. She hopes her business will enable her to provide decent meals for her family and provide her children with a good education. Education is something Rutendo feels particularly about, as she was not able to complete her schooling. Rutendo dreams that her children will excel academically, giving them a chance of a brighter future.
The five women in the Rufaro group run businesses such as chicken broilers, cross-border trading and a flea market. They are looking to borrow a total of $950 as a group. Rufaro group has a total of 20 dependants who will be supported by the surplus income of this loan. The money their businesses bring in will be vital in ensuring the women are able to provide for their families both in the short and long term.
