Amazing Grace Group needed £2452.59 for their business.
This is a group loan to the Amazing Grace women who are based in the Southern province of Zambia. There are 20 members in this group aged between 27 and 59. Some of the women in this group are single, some married, some divorced and others widowed. They have children who go to school and also look after school going orphans. These women run different small-scale businesses such as market and grocery stall. Each of them has a unique reason as to why they started their business; one woman started her business to build a modern family house. The group has undergone business management training which helps them to repay their loans swiftly. They are requesting for the third loan now.
One member of this group is Petrina Lisulo who is 38 years old. She is married and has two children who are in school. Petrina runs a market stall selling kapenta (small fish) from the market of her local community. As a way of attracting more customers, she is requesting for this loan as a top up capital to order more stock of kapenta. She also hopes to order beans and rice. This will enable her to have more customers thereby making more profits. She does the business with the help of her relatives. From the profits she hopes to send her children to school and build a family house.
