Microloan Foundation Zambia

This is a group loan to the Tubekele group based in the Choma district. There are 15 women in this group aged between 21 and 60. These women are married and have children who go to school. These women also look after orphans who go to school too. They run small-scale businesses like restaurants, grocery and market stalls. They started their businesses for different reasons, like being able to provide for the daily needs of their families. The group is applying for this loan to top up their capital so that they can order more stock for their stalls.
One of the women in the group is Eunice Munsanje. She is 43 years old, married and has six children in school. She runs a market stall selling tomatoes, cabbages and ‘kapenta’ (small dried fish). She would like her share of this loan to top up her business capital and order more stock of kapenta and cabbage. She has found parts of the training from Lendwithcare microfinance partner The Microloan Foundation useful, particularly the sessions about Market Research. She believes it will help her achieve what she wants to for her business. Currently her family helps with the day to day running of the business activities. She is grateful to be able to access these loans.
