Omega Group needed £611.11 for their business.
The five women of the Omega group run businesses to support their families. The group has requested a loan of $550, which they will use in conjunction with the training they have received from Lendwithcare’s local partner, the Microloan Foundation, to increase their profits and enable their family to have a future out of poverty.
Beauty, a 58-year-old mother of six will use her share of the loan to increase her fish stocks so that she doesn’t run out when there’s a high demand.
Using training from Lendwithcare’s local partner she would use an increase in her income to diversify her business to raise chickens and pigs as well as fish.
Her husband is a teacher and two of her children still attend high school. Beauty’s goal is to construct a borehole at home to provide access to clean safe water for her family.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
