Tariro Group needed £774.07 for their business.
The five women in the Tariro group want a loan to help their families on their journey out of poverty. Mediah is one of the members of the group, and she will use her share of the group loan to invest in her business rearing chickens. The money will be used to buy more batches of chickens so that she always has some available to sell, providing a consistent source of income.
Widowed almost 20 years ago, Mediah has been the primary breadwinner for the family ever since, and the youngest of her five children still lives at home.
Media wants to be able to renovate her house and construct a borehole where she can draw safe, clean water.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
