Muhammad Iqbal is a 55 year old resident of Badami Bagh in Lahore. He owns a small general store in his local area to earn a living. In his shop he sells lentils, cooking oil, spices, soaps, eggs, biscuits, cold drinks, and many other items. There are eight members in his family that includes his wife and five sons. His elder son is a driver and his younger two sons are labourers. Muhammad Iqbal wants to upgrade his store on a large scale to earn more and provide his family with a better life. For this purpose, he has applied for an interest free loan from Akhuwat. With this loan, he will buy 2 cartons of cooking oil (12 kg each), 10 kg lentils bags, spices, one bag of sugar (50 kg), a few dozens washing soaps of different brands and 6 trays of eggs.
