These women run small scale businesses with the primary objective of being financially independent and be able to support their families. They run small businesses like market and grocery stalls. The group is applying for its third loan after successfully repaying their previous loans. They will use the loan to order more stocks for their stalls and attract more customers.
24 year old Joyce Kalenga is a member of this group. She is married and has three children who are in school. Joyce runs a restaurant selling cooked rice, pasta, nsima with different types of relish. She is requesting for this loan to top up on her business capital and buy plates, rice and different relish for her food stall. She will use part of the money to buy and transport tables and chairs for the stall. Joyce is grateful for the loans from Microloan as she has been able to support her family through them.
