Rutendo Group needed £495.77 for their business.
Queen Dengeya is 33 years old and one of the members of the Rutendo group. She runs a business selling shoes and clothes. This loan will enable Queen to buy her stock from a mixture of second-hand clothes wholesalers at cheaper prices so that she can sell her stock at higher profit margins. She is looking to borrow $200 to expand her business so that she can improve her family’s standard of living and pay school fees for all her dependants. Queen and her husband have eight dependants and they are all currently living in Queen’s father-in-law’s house. The Dengeya family would love to be able to have a place of their own to call home, and Queen hopes her business will help them put aside some savings to do this. The Rutendo group is based near Pote, northern Zimbabwe. They run businesses selling cooking oil, kapenta (dried fish), eggs and clothes. All of the women are determined to make their businesses a success and support each other in their shared goal to build a brighter future for their children.
