Vimbanai Group needed £929.58 for their business.
Rachel Viyano runs a small flea market near Nyamande and is one of the members of Vimbanai group. She is looking to borrow a loan of $200 to help her to expand her business. Rachel’s loan will allow her to buy a wide variety of clothes which she will use to attract more customers and hopefully increase her profits. Widowed ten years ago, Rachel has six children, the youngest of whom still lives at home and is studying at the University of Zimbabwe. She is very proud of how far they have got and wants to make sure she is able to continue paying their university fees. In the long run, Dudzayi hopes to be able to put aside some savings so that she is able to support her extended family if they need as she feels this is her responsibility as the eldest child. The Vimbanai group are looking to borrow a total of $1200. Along with the training provided by the MicroLoan Foundation, they want to use their loans to help them grow their businesses. For all of them, the increase in profits will mean that they are able to build financial security and financial independence for the first time in their lives.
