She and her husband have a two hectare cassava plantation.
They are able to harvest 20 tonnes per hectare to supply their local market.
They make a significant contribution to the local economy by employing 10 villagers to assist the preparation of the cassava root. Each of them earn $5 a day from this activity.
To secure and increase their yearly harvest they are requesting a loan of $873 to purchase fertiliser, pesticide and weed killer, and to cover ploughing and labouring costs.
They will repay the loan in 12 monthly instalments.
