Hoa Binh, Vietnam
Hang needed £725.36 for her business.
Mrs. Hang is 53 years old, and her family lives in Hoa Binh province, in severely poor conditions. Her husband and their three sons are all farmers. Her father-in-law is nearly 90 and has been suffering from pneumonia. All 6 members of the family live under a narrow and worn out house in dire and urgent need of repairs. They work together on a farm to earn a living. They grow corn and paddy rice but their crops’ production is heavily dependent upon weather, making the output unpredictable and unreliable. A heavy storm can easily blow away everything they’ve planted on their fields, before they get a chance to harvest it. To earn more money, Mrs. Hang often babysits children from neighbour families whenever she gets free time. This source of income is not much better than farming, but it ensures more stability.
Raising livestock is a much more beneficial and reliable venture for them since livestock, in the same area it takes to farm, can bring about much higher profit than a harvesting. This is why Mrs. Hang decided to start raising cows on her farm. She is requesting 910 USD to get this plan started. The loan will be paid back in 24 monthly instalments.
