MSC Group needed £1115.94 for their business.
Mollin Karenda of the MSC group is a 60-year-old entrepreneur. She is a widow living in Macheke, she has two dependents. She is in the poultry business and because of hard-work she has been able to boost her business. Her customer base for chicks has increased significantly. Mollin applied for her first loan from Thrive in August 2017. She is grateful for the training she received from the organisation as it motivated her to keep doing business and the importance of keeping proper business records. Mollin received $500 from Thrive on her last loan and she was able to buy more broiler chickens and chicken feed. The loan was beneficial to her as she was able to generate higher profits which she then used to purchase plumbing material for her toilet and she also bought a cow. She is requesting her second loan, which she will use to buy even more broiler chickens and feed so that she can increase her production.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
