Waqas needed £180.94 for his business.
Waqas Liaqat runs a small shop selling general household items and basic foods such as lentils, cooking oil, soaps, spices and also washing powders. He has had the business for the last six years or so. He lives with his three brothers and all of them are working hard to support the extended family. Waqas Sahib earns around £135 profit per month from his shop, although this varies from month to month. He requested a loan from our local microfinance partner organisation, Akhuwat, in order to buy some extra stock but also make some physical improvements to the physical layout of the shop.
