The common reason for starting their business is to supplement their husbands provide for the family and to be financially stable. They are requesting for this loan to top up on their business capital.
Mwanika Zulu 29 years old is a member of this group. She is married to a business man and has one child who is under school age. She looks after 3 orphans who are in school. She runs a grocery stall selling cooking oil, sugar, lotions, cereals and soap. She is requesting for this loan to top up on her business capital and order more groceries for her stall. Most of her customers are people in her community and surrounding areas. She started her business to provide for her family’s daily needs. She is currently planning to open another grocery shop as a way of expanding her business. Her hopes for the family are to provide them a better accommodation. As a woman she is happy to be self-reliant.
