This loan is for a group named Favour women’s group, which has 11 members who range in age from 30 to 50. The marital status of these women is different some are single, some married, some divorced and others widowed. Most of these women have children and look after orphans who go to school. Women of Favour group have different small-scale businesses which include selling raising poultry, pots and grocery stall.  They started their businesses for different reasons, but mostly to reduce poverty levels within their families and to be financially independent. The group is applying for its seventh loan. They use profits to buy household goods, clothes, pay for their children school fees and make home improvements.
Nellie Ndhlovu 45 years is a member of this group. She is married and has six children who are in school. Nellie has a poultry rearing broiler chicks and selling chickens. She started this business six years ago as a way of being able to support her family financially. She is requesting for this loan to order more chicks, feed and also to renovate the poultry house. Her customers are people from the surrounding areas. She is also saving to buy a plot were to build a family house. She hopes to see her business grow.
