Chikondi Kfe needed £1551.96 for their business.
The chikond (Love) group has a total of 19 women who are actively running small scale businesses in the local market of Kafue. These women are married while others are single and have children who are in school. The group has repaid successfully two previous loans from our partner, The Microloan Foundation and now are requesting their third loan.
Nelly Mwansa 30 years old is a member of this group. She is married and has three children who are all in school. She runs a butchery business selling beef sausage, beef and pork. She would like this loan to top up on her business capital and order a cow for her butchery. Most of her customers are people in her community, surrounding areas and travellers. Nelly is hoping to buy a fridge from the profits which will enable her store more meat products as she is in the process of expanding her business. She has currently not employed anyone but family members help her. She is hopeful that the loan she has accessed will help her boast the business and in turn meet the needs of her family. As a woman she is self-reliant and able to stand on her own because of the business she is doing.
