Loan description:
To some hope lies in the urban areas, many have been flocking to cities for greener pastures. However, it seems to have been a different story altogether for Fortunate who realized that her opportunities lie in the rural areas. She gave up her life in the city to pursue a lucrative business in rural Goromonzi. She runs a business full of potential, she is into rearing poultry and pigs. She also rears broiler chickens with batches of up to 500 birds. She inherited the business from her mother, who sadly passed away. She has managed to secure a reliable market for her produce, she supplies her produce to a local boarding school and a butchery. The space she currently has can hold up to ten thousand birds and she is very optimistic that her business will succeed and grow. However, to achieve this she needs capital. This is her second loan from Thrive Microfinance. She will invest this loan into her poultry project and plans to buy 500 to a 1,000 birds and then continue to increase her number according to demand. Fortune is married and her husband is formally employed. He is really pleased with her business as it helps a great deal toward covering their household expenses. Fortune is 34 years old and she has two school-aged children.
