Chamkoma needed £1151.13 for their business.
The Chamkoma group is based at Dzalanyama in the Lilongwe district and is made up of 18 members. The majority of them are married women with children between them. The women run small businesses to be able to support their families. These businesses include the selling of farm produce, groceries, livestock and clothes. They require the loan to buy more products from their businesses. Agnes is 45 years old. She is married with 5 children. She sells zitenje (wrappers) and now requires the money to buy more stock. She will also buy fish to resell. She started the business to support her family and educate her children. She has been doing the business for 4 years and her plan is to grow her business and open a grocery shop as a supplementary business.
