Welldone Group needed £390.07 for their business.
Angeline Soko is 55 years old and a member of the Welldone group. She is a mother of 8. 4 of her children still live at home and financially depend on her, as well as 2 of her grandchildren. Angeline’s husband used to work as a security guard, but he died in 2001, leaving Angeline as the sole provider for her family. She runs a business selling fish and buckets, but would like to diversify into a chicken rearing business to increase her profits. She dreams of being able to renovate her house so that there are separate rooms for her children and grandchildren.
The five women in the Welldone group are looking to borrow a total of $500 to help them grow their businesses. With support and training from Lendwithcare microfinance partner The MicroLoan Foundation, the loans will enable the women to increase their profits and better provide for their families.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
