Loan description:
Mrs. Sinoun is 32 years old and she has been a farmer for several years. Currently she and her husband farm maize on around five hectares of land. They can farm their maize twice a year. It takes them around 90 days to harvest the crops. Since they have been doing this maize farming then for the last three years they have used their own tractor to plough the land. This cuts down some costs and enables them to plough the land on time like their fellow villagers. To farm their maize like last year then they requested this 12 month loan in order to purchase some fertilizer, pesticide, weed killer, diesel for their tractor to plough the land to cover their harvest costs.
