Loan description:
Clara Phiri is a member of the Tigwirizane Group. This is a group loan to the Tigwirizane women who are based in the Nyimba district of Eastern Zambia. The group has a membership of 13 women aged between 23 and 53. Most of these women are married, some single and others divorced. They have children who go to school. These women also look after orphans who go to school too. The ladies run small scale businesses like market and grocery stalls. They started their businesses for different reasons. Most of them want to be financially independent and to be able to provide for their families. They have successfully repaid their nine previous loan and now wish to apply for the tenth loan.
Clara Phiri is 38 years old she is married and has three children who are in school. She runs a grocery stall selling bathing soap, washing soap, cooking oil and candles. She is requesting for this loan to top up on her business capital and order stocks for her stall. She believes she will make more profits after these orders and that her business will grow and make more profits. From the profits she hopes to be able to have her business established and build a stall where she will be operating from. Currently her family helps with the day to day running of the business.
