Loan description:
Mrs. Sokunthea Eat is 24 years old. She and her husband grow rice on 5,000 square meters of land. They grow dry season rice, which means they are able to harvest their rice crops more frequently. They get around two tons of crops for sale on the market. To increase their yields they have applied for an 18 month loan to purchase a plot of farming land that is around one hectare to expand their dry season rice plantation. The middleman generally buys the crops from their home after the crops have been harvested. This farming land costs $4,800 and they have managed to save around $1,600 to put towards this purchase.
