Loan description:

Jean Baptiste Mbangutse and his wife are farmers. They have 5 children. One is in secondary school, three are in primary school and another one is going to start next year. To support his family’s day to day financial needs he grows irish potatoes. He has been in business for 8 years now. Through his potato farming business, he has created temporarily employment for 56 people in his neighbourhood. He wants to expand his potato business but does not have the fund so he is requesting a loan through his micro-finance institute to buy all the necessary farming products for example good quality seeds, fertilizers ect to get healthy crops that will give him a good yield. He is hopeful that he will be able to increase his profit greatly after paying of his expenses. He looks forward to increase his irish potatoes harvest by 2200 kilos every quarter. The loan will not only help Jean Baptiste expand his potato plantation it will also create temporary employment for 14 more people in his neighbourhood. In the future, he would like to create a factory that makes potatoes crisps. This is not the first loan that he requested with the previous loan, he started his business.
