Milena Camila is 20 years old and has a 2-year-old daughter. She finished her studies, and with the help of her mother and brothers they started a business making ribbons, accessories and tiaras for little girls. Through the internet she has taught herself countless designs that are appreciated by businesses throughout Ecuador. Her products are even sold in catalogues. Milena requested a loan of US$2,000 that will be repaid over 18 months. She will spend $1,000 of the money buying different types of ribbons, $500 buying accessories and another $500 buying threads.
Every month Milena makes around 700 tiaras and 300 hairclips. She loves her work and hopes to go to university soon. She would love to study fashion design, as now and again she also makes outfits for her little girl.
