Loan description:
Jean Bosco Nzamurambaho is a 37 years old farmer, who lives with his wife, their 2 children, 1 orphan child they have adopted and 1 relative. He started to grow bananas 10 years ago with his wife. The soil is very fertile and the demand for the fruit is high as people also use bananas to cook. He is applying for a loan to buy a small plot of land and increase his production. He already employs 11 people and expects to employ 9 more workers to prepare the soil and plant the banana trees. In the last 10 years he has grown this crop, and himself and his wife have experienced positive changes in their family: they have taken their children to local schools, and they have managed to pay for health insurance and other basic needs. In the future, he would like to start growing plum as well because he is exploring the possibility of start producing plum juice and selling it. This is not his first loan, with the previous one he was able to start and develop his business. He will repay the loan in 36 months.
