Tikolelaneko Group needs just £1328.43 to complete their loan
This is a group loan for the Tikolelaneko group of Zambia. There are 22 women in this group aged between 25 and 45 years old. Some of these women are married, others are widowed and some are divorced. These women have children who are in school and they also look after orphans who are in school. These women run small scale businesses like market and grocery stalls. They started their businesses for different reasons (for example) to pay for the school fees for their children and provide food for their families. The Tikolelaneko group has successfully repaid four loans and they are now requesting for their fifth loan.
Rhoda Banda 37 years old is member of this group. She is married and has six children who are in school. Rhoda runs a grocery stall selling sugar, soap and biscuits. She orders her stocks from within Chipata district. She is requesting for this loan to order more stock of biscuits, assorted drinks, milk and sugar. From the profits of her previous loans she has contributed financially to the well-being of her family and this makes her proud.
