Tsitsi, a member of the Tirikukwanakwana Group and is a hairdresser. She is a 33 year old who has three dependants who are all still in school. She is married and lives in Tynwald South, a suburb of Harare. She is in her fourth loan cycle with a group called Tirikukwanakwana, which means, “We are making it.” She has understood that putting all eggs in one basket is very risky. Therefore, she also does cross border trading which means she is trying to meet both ends the slow and fast business cycle.
She has taken a loan of $600 to improve her salon with mirrors, chairs and redecoration. She will also increase her stock of hair extensions, hair relaxers and other hair products that her clients need.
