Loan description:
Zeeshan Ali is 20 years old and lives in Singh Pura, which is an area of Lahore. He is single and has two brother, one sister and mother. Two of his siblings attend school. His elder brother works and earns 14,000 rupees per month. Zeeshan runs a traditional embroidery business locally called ‘silma sitara’. His finished clothes are commonly worn by ladies on special occasions such as wedding events or festivals. He started this business about two years ago and manages to earn 12,000 rupees (around $115) per month. He receives orders from retailers from different markets, especially Anarkali Bazar. Zeeshan Sahib visits the retailers, who provide him with the designs they want, and then he buys the necessary clothes and beads from a local market. He wants to raise his income and needs some running capital to invest. He requested a loan to make a bulk purchase of the materials that he uses; specifically, chiffon clothes, pearls, stones, and fancy yarn in greater lengths and quantities. He will pay back his loan in 17 installments.
