Azra Bibi works from home making fancy buckles locally called ‘Nagina Work’. She is a contract worker. Azra bibi is a resident of Badami Bagh, an area of the city of Lahore. She is 40 years old and married. She has four sons and one daughter. Four of her children are enrolled in school and one is not school age yet. Her husband is a greengrocer and he earns 16,000 rupees per month. About seven years ago Azra started work making shoes upper part and got fancy buckles work from a middle man. She currently earns only 7,000 rupees per month. She now wants to start her own business so she could interact directly with shopkeepers and earn better. For starting up her own business she applied for a loan. She will purchase pearls, stones and fancy material and hope her business will give her good profit.
