Sadika has fully repaid her loan of £ 489.29
Sadika Piric is 53 years old. She lives alone in the small town of Banovici near Tuzla in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina. She works part-time as a cleaner in a local company. But she has an illness and this prevents her from working full-time. In order to increase her income she decided about ten years ago to start her own business as well, raising goats. Her business has expanded in recent years. She receives milk from the goats and produces cheese which she sells locally. Goat’s cheese is less common where she lives so she always has a market for her produce. Sadika has been a client of the microfinance foundation ‘Women for Women International’ for two years. She applied for a loan in order to buy more goats and animal feed for the winter months. She intends to repay the loan over 12 months.
