Rafiyatou

Rafiyatou is an extremely enterprising young woman of barely 20 years old. She is married with a one-year-old child and her husband is a teacher at a school in the town of Atakpamé.

In order to earn money, Rafiyatou sells beans and grains such as millet and maize, which she buys in the villages around Atakpamé, particularly in Moretan. She sells these cereal products in Atakpamé, in the Akpesseme market hall. Rafiyatou is requesting a loan of 200,000 West African francs in order to buy new stocks in the new crop year. This will be her first loan from the microfinance organisation WAGES and will be repaid over 12 months. Rafiyatou would like to expand her business in order to help her husband meet the financial needs of her young family.

Rafiyatou est une jeune femme d’à peine 20 ans mais très dynamique. Elle est mariée et a un petit enfant d’un an. Son mari est enseignant au sein d’une école de la ville d’Atakpamé. Comme activité génératrice de revenus, Rafiyatou est revendeuse de céréales. Il s’agit du mil, du haricot et du maïs qu’elle achète dans les zones et villages périphériques d’Atakpamé notamment à MORETAN. Elle revend ses céréales sous un hangar au marché d’AKPESSEME à Atakpamé. Rafiyatou est à sa première expérience en microcrédit et sollicite 200 000FCFA sur 12 mois pour l’achat de nouveaux stocks à cette nouvelle campagne agricole pour la revente. Elle souhaite voir grandir son commerce afin d’aider financièrement son mari dans la satisfaction des besoins de sa petite famille.
