Rita Koutse, 31, is married to an independent retailer, and has one small child who is not yet in school. Rita used to sell cereals and yams but started trading traditional African clothing in 1996, and has continued to do so. She buys the traditional garments in Ouagadougou, just over the border in Burkina Faso where they are made, then sells them at Nyékonakpoe, where she lives. Rita has requested her first loan of 400,000 West African francs from the microfinance institution WAGES, to be repaid in 12 monthly instalments, so that she can increase her stock and her profit. Looking ahead to the future, Rita is keen to ensure the prosperity of her business and her family’s well-being.

Rita est une femme âgée de 31 ans. Elle est mariée à un revendeur et mère d’un (01) enfant de bas âge qui n’est pas encore scolarisé. Revendeuse de céréales et d’ignames auparavant, Rita s’est lancée dans le commerce de pagnes et de tenues traditionnelles depuis 1996 , activité qu’elle mène avec beaucoup de ténacité. Elle achète ces pagnes et tenues traditionnelles à Ouagadougou (Burkina-Faso) pays frontalier où ils sont fabriqués puis les revend à Nyékonakpoe , son quartier de résidence.
Rita a requis son premier crédit de 400.000FCFA remboursable en douze (12) mensualités afin d’agrandir son stock et pour faire accroître son gain. Comme perspectives d’avenir, Rita aimerait assurer la prospérité de son commerce et assurer le bien–être de sa famille.
