Christiane

Loan description:

Christiane, aged 35, has four children, of whom one is a trainee hairdresser and the other three are still at school. Christiane contributes a lot towards the household costs. She has a banana and orange plantation and so for the last 15 years she has made a living through selling her crop. As the only fruit wholesaler in the local area, Christiane delivers her produce to her independent retailers in the village and also to other wholesalers at the Dantokpa international market in Cotonou. Christiane is an existing client of the microfinance institution, ACFB, and has always met her repayment schedules. This loan of 150,000 West African francs will enable her to expand her plantation in order to meet the demands of her ever-growing customer base. The resulting profit will ease the financial pressure on Christiane, helping her with household costs and her children’s school fees. This is particularly important to her as all her children are still learning and in some form of education.

Agée de 35 ans, et mère de 04 enfants dont un enfant apprentis coiffeuse et les 03 autres enfants élèves, Christiane participe énormément aux charges de son foyer. Elle dispose d’une plantation de bananier et d’orangers. Son activité principale est donc la vente des oranges et des régimes de banane depuis plus de 15 ans. Etant la seule commerçante des fruits en gros dans sa localité, elle livre sa production à des clients détaillants du village puis surtout aux grossistes du marché international de Cotonou ‘’Dantokpa’’. Etant une cliente de l’ACFB qui honore toujours ses engagements, ce prêt de 150.000 FCFA lui permettrait d’agrandir sa plantation par rapport à la demande de sa clientèle qui ne cesse d’accroitre. Ceci la soulagerait dans la gestion des ses charges financières car le bénéfice qui en résultera l’aiderait à s’occuper de son foyer et des charges scolaires de ses enfants vue qu’ils sont tous des apprenants.
