Loan description:

Yawavi Amaglo, 59, is a working woman and married mother of five. Her children are aged 21 to 35 and all have jobs. She earns a living from buying fresh fish, which she then fries and sells. She has been in the trade for more than ten years and has every intention to continue. She also sells various food products and employs one person to help run her business. Yawavi has been working with WAGES ever since setting up her business in Atakpamé, where she immediately opened her savings account. She has already received a loan of 120,000 CFA francs, which she repaid in 12 months. This second loan of 300,000 CFA francs, to be repaid in 12 months, will allow her to buy frozen fish, vegetable oil and coal for her business. She buys her stock in Atakpamé and sells it on to the inhabitants of the Nyekonakpoe area, who really enjoy Yawavi’s fish. Her dream is to see her business grow, in order to buy her own land on which to build a house to live in when she is older.
