Sylvie Degla, 40, is a married mother with five children who all attend school. She lives in the Ylomahuto area of Godomey, where she has been selling various products including soaps, staple foods and sweets for about 20 years. Sylvie is a trained dressmaker but chose to leave the profession early in her life, in favour of starting her small, highly profitable business. She buys her stock from the large Cotonou market in Tokpa. During their free time, her children help out a lot with the running of the shop. She is a regular ACFB client, having received a series of loans from the organisation, all of which she has repaid in full. Sylvie has now requested a loan of 400,000 francs in order to increase her stock and meet her customers’ needs. The loan will be repaid within six months. Any profits made will enable Sylvie to help her husband with household expenses.

DEGLA Sylvie est une femme mariée avec 05 enfants à charge et est âgée de 40 ans. Tous ses enfants sont scolarisés. Elle vit dans le quartier Ylomahuto de Godomey où elle exerce comme activité principale la vente de divers produits (savons, produits vivriers, friandises, etc …) depuis environ 20 ans. Couturière de formation, elle a très tôt abandonné cette activité au profit de son petit commerce qui lui paraît très rentable. Elle s’approvisionne sur le grand marché de Cotonou (Tokpa). Ses enfants l’aident beaucoup dans la tenue de cette boutique à leurs heures creuses. Cliente fidèle de ACFB, elle a obtenu de cette dernière, plusieurs crédits qu’elle a bien remboursé. Le crédit de 400 000 qu’elle sollicite maintenant renforcera son capital pour mieux satisfaire ses clients. Ce crédit sera remboursé en six (06) mois. Les bénéfices réalisés lui permettent d’aider son mari dans la gestion de leur ménage.
