Loan description:
José Tillahuango is 38 and married with four children. He has a business making and selling bricks which are used in the construction of houses. He has had his own business for the past five years, previously he worked as a labourer for another brick making business. The work is physically demanding and he wakes up early every day to make the bricks in the cooler temperatures - after midday it becomes too hot. The business is located next to his home and he employs three full-time labourers. He requested a loan in order to buy various raw materials in bulk. Specifically, he requires 15 truckloads of sand which cost $40 each, firewood which costs $150 a truckload as well as rice residue which costs $10 per sack. Don Jose intends to repay the loan over 16 months.
