Alexandra Jimenez is 21 and has her own business selling cosmetics. She sells well known brands including Avon. Generally she distributes a catalogue to interested customers and then returns to collect orders. Additionally, she sells clothes as an itinerant trader, mainly to known friends and acquaintances in her neighbourhood. For all her sales she generally sells to customers on credit and then collects regular instalments. This does mean that she has to wait on getting fully repaid and often has to chase up customers who are not prompt with their repayments. However, on the plus side she does have a better profit margin. Alexandra also works Land Registry Office. She requested the loan in order to buy new cosmetics products in bulk to sell. With her income she helps support her family and is also continuing with her studies.
