Loan description:
Angel Gonzalez is 33 and married with one child. He sells dairy products mainly such as milk, butter, yoghurt and cheese. As a child Don Angel started working collecting sand from river beds that was sold for use in the construction industry. The money he earned this way helped pay for his school fees. As an adult he has learned how to process and produce dairy products. The area where he lives has a good climate and ample pasture and many small-scale farmers have 1-2 cows each and sell milk on a daily basis. He has started taking milk from them and transforming it into cheese, yoghurt and other products. His business actually benefits many of the local farmers because they have a ready market and stable price. His wife works in accounting but also helps out with the family business. He requested a loan mainly to use as working capital helping his cash flow - he pays his suppliers in cash but often has to wait several days for his clients to pay. He sells retail as well as wholesale to shops and other businesses.
