Ma. Cecilia de Guzman is a 44 years old woman, she is married and has four children ages 22, 20, 14 and 4. 3 of them are students. Cecilia and her husband run a sustainable business, they supply clean and sterile recycled bottles to different industries. The business is in bulacan province. Cecilia hires a 5 full-time workers who are responsible to clean and deliver bottles. She acquires these bottles from various recycling shops at wholesale price and converts them into clean and reusable bottles. The clean bottles are used to store vinegar, fish sauce, soy sauce, fresh milk and vegetable oil. Her staff place all the products in cases and deliver those to the customers at their requested date and time. This has been her family’s vital source of income for 4 years and she is hoping for her business to become the largest supplier of clean bottles in the whole province. Cecilia has been a member of the microfinance organisation, Alalay sa Kaunlaran, for two years now and she is actively participating on different programs at the institution. She is applying for this large loan after successfully repaying a number of previous loans. The loan amounts to $100,000 Philippine pesos and is intended to acquire more glass bottles. This will enable her to increase her sales. Cecilia’s only dream is to see her children finish their education. Please note that his is a 24 month loan term.
