Akossiwavi is 26 and lives in the neighborhood of Adidogome in Lome with her husband and their only child, who is 6 years old. He is enrolled in school. Akossiwavi's husband is a businessman. To supplement their household income, Akossiwavi opened a cosmetics shop two years ago. While a student she dreamed of starting her own business and now she owns her own store in the neighborhood where she lives. She sells mainly cosmetics in her shop such as lotions, creams and nail polish. She supplies traders in the Grand Market of Lome once a week too. Akossiwavi wants to continue to invest in her small business and for this reason she is requesting a loan of 800.000 FCFA from the lenders of Lendwithcare. She will use this loan to increase and diversify her stock and repay her loan over 12 months. She's hoping that as her business grows and evolves she will be able to become a cosmetics wholesaler in the future.
