Ivan Jimenez is 30 and married with two young children. He is a qualified industrial mechanic having studied at college to obtain the qualification. He has had his own workshop for the past five years and makes everything from metal gates to fences to repairing vehicles and bicycles. Previously he used to work as a private security guard in a government building. He married quite young and has the responsibility for providng for his family for several years now. He actually lives in his own house. Over time he has equipped his workshop with most of the tools for his profession. However, he does still lack some and requested a loan in order to buy more equipment. He would like one day to have larger premises as sometimes he is restricted by the available space and cannot undertake all the jobs he would like to do simultaneously. He would also like to offer apprenticeships to young adults in his neighbourhood as well as unemployment and underemployment is a real problem for many in his community.I
