Wilfrido Millán Carpio Valdivieso is a farmer. He is 25 and single and lives in the community of San Francisco near Catamayo. Don Wilfrido started helping his parents with the farm and enjoys working in agriculture. Unfortunately, his parents were unable to pay for him to complete primary school. Don Wilfrido grows tomatoes, peppers, beans and cassava. He requested a loan in order to contract labour to help him harvest his produce and thereafter help him clean and prepare the land for the next sowing. He will also use part of the loan in order to buy some pesticides in order to protect his next crops from being destroyed.
